What is ECAST?
European Center for Advanced Studies in Thermodynamics
Statutes
Association according to French law, governed by the law of the 1st July 1901 and the decree of August 16, 1901.
Goal
Promote the cooperation between researchers and engineers in Europe to develop scientific and technical interactions in the domain of thermodynamics and energetics.
Composition
group of physical persons or legal entities in Europe interested by the study, the research, the teaching, the information, the normalization, the legislation, the application and the use of thermodynamics.
Activities
Organization of scientific and technical meetings in the aforementioned domains.
Disseminating information relating to the schedule of international conferences and to the recent papers in the implied sciences.
Investigating about the offers and the requests for studies by thermodynamicists likely to promote the new discoveries of their specialties.
Developing the relations with other European associations interested by thermodynamics and energetics.
Encouragement of European cooperation in the teaching, the research in laboratories and the use, by appropriate gathering of complementary means regarding theory, experiment and computation.
Consultations with the national or European organisms on the possibilities to insert the preceding activities in the programs of actions proposed by these administrations.

Qu’est-ce que le CERET ?
Statut
Association de droit français, régie par la loi du 1er Juillet 1901 et le décret du 16 août 1901.
But
Favoriser la concertation entre chercheurs et praticiens européens pour développer des Relations Scientifiques et Techniques dans le domaine de la Thermodynamique et de l'Energétique.
Composition
Ensemble de personnes physiques ou morales concernées en Europe par l'étude, la recherche, l'enseignement, l'information, la normalisation, la législation, l'application et l'utilisation de la thermodynamique.
Activités
Organisation de réunions scientifiques et techniques dans le domaine précité.
Diffusion d'informations relatives aux calendriers des congrès mondiaux et aux publications récentes dans les sciences impliquées.
Enquêtes permettant de recenser les offres et les demandes d'études auprès des thermodynamiciens susceptibles de promouvoir les nouvelles découvertes de leurs spécialités.
Développement des relations avec d'autres associations européennes concernées par la thermodynamique et l'énergétique.
Stimulation de coopérations européennes dans les enseignements, les recherches en laboratoires et les utilisations, par des regroupements appropriés de moyens complémentaires en matière de théories, d'expériences et de calculs.
Concertations avec les organismes nationaux ou européens sur les possibilités d'insertion des activités précédentes dans les programmes d'actions proposés par ces Administrations.
