Publication and Awards
Proceedings of the 7th CIRP IPSS 2015 conference are published by Elsevier as a Special Issue of CIRP Procedia.
A group of papers will be selected after the conference for expansion and consideration for publication in:
- CIRP Journal of Manufacturing Science and Technology (JMST) (confirmed):

- Journal of Cleaner Production (to be confirmed).
Best Paper Award of CIRP International Conference on Industrial Product-Service Systems (IPSS 2015).
This is an award which recognizes a young researcher who is the primary author of the selected best paper and who has presented the paper in person during the 7th CIRP IPSS 2015 Conference.
Among the main criteria used for papers selection:
- Scientific value
- Practical usefulness
- Relevance to the PSS and the CIRP communities
- Generation (focus on young researchers)
The nomination process was coordinated by Dr. Tom Sakao from Linköping University and Dr. Khaled Medini, from Ecole des Mines de Saint-Etienne. Comments from the papers' reviewers and from Sessions' Chairs were all taken into account.
The two papers nominated for Best Papers Awards are:
- Improvisation as a prerequisite for the dynamic interplay of Production and Service in PSS: Insides of an organizational design principle and a game-based learning approach for servitization, Thomas Suesse, Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany.
- Product-service systems as a promising approach to sustainability: exploring the sustainable aspects of a PSS in Brazil, Thayla Tavares de Sousa, Cauchick Miguel P.A., Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil.
