ENBIS-EMSE Spring Meeting 2009

1/2/3 July 2009 in Saint-Etienne

« Design & Analysis of Computer Experiments »

Welcome

We are pleased to announce the ENBIS-EMSE 2009 Conference devoted to Computer Experiments, to be held on 1-3 July 2009 at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de St-Etienne (France).

It appeared natural to us to propose a conference on Computer Experiments, after the success of the joint DEINDE-ENBIS 2007 conference “Computer Experiments versus Physical Experiments”, and considering the increasing interest of industrials and statisticians in the analysis of complex simulators.

Also, now is a good time to bring together people who have been working on the same problems, and applying methodologies in context-dependent ways. For instance, among contemporary works, many regularization techniques, as well as Kriging & Gaussian processes, splines, or SVM may all be seen as kernel methods. Sharing views and experiences will help emphasizing successful and promising ideas, and encouraging fruitful collaborations.

The conference intends to join researchers and practitioners from academia and industry working on Computer Experiments. This explains the variety of affiliations of the scientific committee members and lecturers, some of them working in universities or engineering schools, others parts of - or in close relation with - research departments of leading companies.

Finally, mind that for organizational reasons, the number of participants is limited to 120. Beware when preparing your registration…and see you in St-Etienne !

Reminder: the deadline for registration at ENBIS EMSE 2009 is June 22 th.

All participants are invited to create a personal account.

The scientific program of the conference is now available online.

International Journal of Quality Engineering and Technology (IJQET) is a newly launched refereed journal devoted to the publication of original work in quality engineering, quality technology and their applications in business and industrial management.

A special issue with selected papers from the ENBIS-EMSE 2009 conference will be published in IJQET.
